Restoration of laser-induced process kinetics from photoacoustic measurements
نویسنده
چکیده
Reconstruction of the kinetics of relaxation processes induced in a medium by laser radiation is considered. Implementation of a-regularization algorithm of the ill-posed problem solution in optoacoustic (OA) diagnostics of liquids is discussed. The relationship between parameters of the diagnostic experimental set-up and the frequency band where relaxation spectra can be restored is established. The restoration algorithm is applied to analysis of OA-waveforms detected in aqueous solution near 4°C. It is shown that only broad-band detection could give necessary information for identification of particular relaxation mechanism in this case.

Design and Application of a Photoacoustic Sensor for Monitoring the Laser Generated Stress Waves in Optical Fiber
Measurement of stress transients generated by a 400ns pulsed HF laser in an infrared fluoride glass fiber has been made using fast time – response piezoelectric film transducer. Acoustic signals up to 12 mV with frequencies ranging in megahertz generated by 21 mJ laser pulse when passed through the fiber axis in the linear region. It is shown that useful information such as onset of non - linea...

Photoacoustic (PA) imaging of biological tissues using laser diodes instead of conventional Q switched pulsed systems provides an attractive alternative for biomedical applications. However, the relatively low energy of laser diodes operating in the pulsed regime, results in generation of very weak acoustic waves, and low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of the detected signals. This problem can be ...

of soot formation during combustion is a key step in developing soot reduction strategies [3, 4]. Optical measurement techniques are ideally suited for combustion environments because they generally cause negligible perturbation to the combustion process. One of the most widely used optical techniques for the study of particulate matter in flames is laser-induced incandescence (LII). Typical LI...
متن کاملTime-resolved photoacoustic spectroscopy using fiber Bragg grating acoustic transducers
An acoustic transducer based on a fiber Bragg grating (FBG) is presented and characterized for use in time-resolved laser-induced photoacoustic spectroscopy (PAS) on solid samples. The photoacoustic wave was generated by pulsed laser excitation of immobilized carbon black or erbium oxide powder, and detected by recording either the transmission or reflection spectrum of a clamped fiber Bragg gr...
